I suspect things will start looking up in Iraq in a big hurry... not that this solves everything, but it'll help (especially given the fact that he was apparently ratted out by ordinary Iraqis).

Should qualify that... I say 'retired' because 'ex' and 'former' apply more aptly to Murtha-types, but I don't know that he officially retired--just didn't re-up at the end of his second hitch.
