I just, on something of a whim, read The Club of Queer Trades by G. K. Chesterton.
I wish he were still around for me to hug. :D I love his style and his sense of the absurd, but it all makes total sense in light of Orthodoxy. So, for that matter, does The Man Who Was Thursday (at least, as much as Thursday can make sense).
I need to read more Chesterton. But not tonight.

Date: 2006-01-22 03:46 am (UTC)In all the hyper-theoretical studies of graduate school, it helps to have a reality check every so often. Chesterton, Lewis, MacDonald -- may God give 'em extra rewards for keeping us grounded.
And laughter is good for the spirit.
