jennytork: List the first lines from your last twenty fics -- not necessarily in order.
Going with solo fics in order of completion and adding the second sentence in cases where the opening was a fragment....
1. Sans could scarcely let himself believe it.
2. Four years. Four accursed years, totally alone yet never left alone.
3. When Sam came to, everything was black.
4. The thrill of recharging the castle had mostly worn down to a pleasant contentment and Agatha was drowsing with her head on Gil's bare chest, one ear listening to his heartbeat and one ear listening to the rain on the roof of the tower where they'd—ah—landed, when he said, "Father's going to be livid about our doing that in the middle of a storm."
5. One second. That was all it took for everything to go disastrously wrong.

7. John Winchester let out a sigh of relief as he finally spied the lights of Del Rio, Texas.

10. Okay, so Gil's a healthy human male of a certain age with interests.

12. Dean Winchester and his Tok'ra symbiote Dishon were settled in Cicero, Indiana, with Lisa Braeden and her son Ben.
13. Outside Clayton, LA, Donnie Finnerman staggers up to an old windmill outside an abandoned house.
14. "Howlin' Mad" Murdock knows from crazy.
15. Castiel had just restored Bobby to life and helped him up off the parched earth of Stull Cemetery when there was a... disturbance in the abandoned church on the far side of the field, some kind of temporal distortion.
16. Gabriel was trying to watch TV but just couldn't stop brooding.
17. 'Tis the night before Christmas—Dean's second with Lisa and Ben—and Sam's come over for popcorn and a movie and the first round of gift-giving.
18. The warehouse was in utter chaos.
19. After the IMF's mission in Effingham, Illinois, in the fall of 1969 culminated in the bizarre death of Gunnar Herjulfsen and the complete crackup of Eric Schachtschneider, nee Erich von Waffenschmidt, Jim Phelps had had to come to grips with the fact that Sam and Dean Winchester's beliefs might not be wholly irrational.
