Heh. I was thinking Wattpad, which is apparently geared more toward ficlets, but Twitter might indeed have something to do with it.

Short chapters tend to the norm in our hobbity corner of the fandom. My chapters tend to average about 2 K. But I'd never call 7 chapters long.

I think some of it depends on the fandom, and some on all the tweeting and tumbling.

Well, but 14k would be a mini-bang in fandoms that have Big Bangs, so that's not short, either. You're right, though; it does depend partly on the fandom (this was Undertale, which also has its share of plotty epics).
