[livejournal.com profile] fannishliss is trying to start a meme, mainly for the entertainment and education of the Captain America fandom, but it's too much fun for me to pass up. So here goes... how well do you know these top hits from the 1930s and '40s?

BOLD the ones you know right off the bat.
Add ASTERISKS if you LOVE the song (you may also MINUS if you dislike a song that much).
Put a QUESTION MARK if it rang a bell but you'd need to look it up to be sure, or you you feel like you should know it but don't quite. I am putting a Tilde on ones I know vaguely.
UNDERLINE if you have a recording of this song (or know it super well), and ITALICIZE if it is the same performer. :)
Optional: put the year you were born and the year your older parent was born.
(I think I won't--most of this knowledge comes from my grandparents anyway.)

Oh I think I'm going to have to do this one. I know most of the ones you do with a few exceptions. And I know a few you don't. I don't own any of these though but I know a few of them really well. It comes from being in band growing up and watching Abbott and Costello movies and a few other oldies but goodies as they say. :)

I wish I had time (and wrist energy) to do memes like this, but I do enjoy seeing them. Now I'll be humming all day. :)
