No, I'm not leaving LJ. Not even leaving the SPN fandom--not entirely, anyway. I still have stories to finish, after all, some of them more necessary than ever now. I still have friends and folks I care about in the fandom. And there's a lot that I still love about the show.
Ending around 8.23.
That's not to say I don't love anything we got this season. Dorothy was fun, and some other characters and backstory were good. But on the whole, this season was one long exercise in frustration and futility.
Plus, I'm going to have to cut back some on fannish activity for RL reasons anyway. Some are good, some not so much, but they all mean having to rethink where I prioritize spending my limited energy.
So until this season's mess is fixed, I'm done with SPN. I'll keep up with what's happening, because I want to know how the story ends. If and when things get better, I'll come back, because I do love these characters and actors. And as I said, I'll still be around LJ fandom schtuff in whatever capacity I can. But I can't keep wasting my energy being angry over what is, after all, just a story.
I've got my own story to tell.
