I just found out that AMC is going to be showing a movie I first (and last) saw at a slumber party nearly twenty years ago. Everyone else fell asleep while we were watching it the first time, and I was left in the dark trying to figure out how to work a VHS VCR (we still had a Beta at home). I think I finally managed to wake up my friend's mom with my frenzied whispers of "How do I stop this thing?!?" But of course, since everyone else had missed the ending, we watched it again in the morning.
The funny thing is that I was just discussing that event with my mom not too long ago.

1:15 p.m. today. It was on last night, too, but I didn't know until I flipped past it during a commercial break on another channel.

I think I've seen at least part of that movie! Must be 20-25 years ago. Tiny spaceships -- or was it robots? Residents about to lose their apartment building? Was Ernest Borgnine in that?

No, Ernest Borgnine wasn't, but Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy were. And they were robot-spaceships. But yes, they were about to lose their building. :)
