1. Leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
2. I'll reply and give you five questions to answer.
3. You'll update your LJ with the five questions answered.
4. You'll include this explanation.
5. You ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed. And it just keeps going, and going, and going....
(If I decide to sign up for any more interviews, I'll add them to this post in reverse order.)
Questions from
boz4pm :
1. Would a Rose by another name smell as sweet?
I believe so, yes. ;)
2. What are the worst and best things you have ever written?
Oh, brother. Um... there are so many categories of best... as far as finished fanfic, I think my favorites are "Were You There?" (Monkeeverse), "Candlelight, Angel Light, Firelight, and Starglow" (LOTR AU), "A Hobbit Fairy Tale" (LOTR spoofs Monkees), "There and Back Again: The Fellowship Goes to Stalag 13" (LOTR/Hogan's Heroes/Newsies), "Over There" (Silm), and "Mansions of the Lord" (HH/A-Team). Most critically acclaimed are "There and Back Again" and "Der Erlkoenig" (LOTR AU). Worst is probably the Newsies fic I wrote in eighth grade before seeing the end of the movie; that's not online and never will be. Haven't done too much original fic yet, but I really like the novel I'm working on and a POV exercise we did for Creative Writing, which I'd like to get published.
3. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck?
Enough to match the pecks of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
4. You are made Supreme Ruler of Earth. What would be the first three laws you would decree?
I'll be a-political here just to be safe. (If you think the country's bad off now, just wait'll I get through with it....)
- Movie companies shall listen to the public and make far more G-rated films than R-rated ones.
- Schools shall teach the Bible as literature because it is history's #1 best-seller and because so much of history and culture depend on it.
- Freedom of speech shall not be construed as the right to be heard.
Alternate version (from Duck Soup):
No one's allowed to smoke
Or tell a dirty joke
And whistling is forbidden.
When chewing gum is chewed,
The chewer is pursued
And in the hoosegow hidden....
(That's all I can remember of it.)
5. Where have you never been that you would like to go to at least once, and why?
Germany, Scotland, more of England than Oxford, and possibly Ireland, partly because my ancestors are from there and partly because they're so beautiful (and Germany because I need to work on speaking more). Also a tour of major historic sites on the East Coast because I'm a history buff.
Questions from
fondued_jicama :
1.) John Wayne or Tom Selleck?
Ronald Reagan. :D Um, both, really... John Wayne is my hero, but Tom Selleck is cool (and made a GREAT Ike). So is Sam Elliot, for that matter.
2.) Favourite actress, and why?
Ummmmmmmm... boy. It's hard to pick one. I think I'll go with Joan Hickson because she made such a fabulous Miss Marple and would probably have been great fun to know.
3.) Would you consider platypuses spectacular?
Soitenly. Shows God's sense of humor. :)
*sings* Ornitharincus annatinus, Anna, Anna, Anna....
4.) If you could act in one play, any play at all, what would it be?
Ai. There are so many great ones... maybe A Midsummer Night's Dream or one of Shakespeare's other comedies, or else a Gilbert and Sullivan musical. (I'm not sure I have the voice for Rogers and Hammerstein.)
5.) What is your greatest fear?
Mike: Why do you ask stuff like this, really? I mean, success and stuff like that? Why don't you ask us stuff like, "What time is it?"
Bert: What time is it, Mike?
Mike: Uh, it's time to go, man. I'll see you later.
Micky: Don't even say another thing.
