Yay! Happy Reformation Day indeed! :) (As a former Lutheran, how in the world did I forget?!?)

Hugs,
Febobe :)

As an Evangelical Lutheran Christian I should know when Reformation Day is, right? Well now I know. :P

In the frenzy of Halloween it's easy to forget this most important day!

When we went to see the exhibit of Bible manuscripts and other important papers a few weeks ago, there was quite a bit devoted to Luther.

Have you ever read 1632 by Eric Flint It's a brilliant alternative history series, in which a bunch of modern day folks find themselves plunk in the middle of the Thirty Years War! Lots of religious strife, treated fairly seriously (as serious as can be done with such a scenario).

One of the most fun things is to see how modern, more tolerant attitudes play in a world in which sectarianism was so very serious! Not to mention all of the other ways the modern people affected the past.

I haven't been online much today...too much time at the hospital. So I am glad I went back this far. I knew it was Reformation Day, but the thought was lost amid the chaos of everything else going on :D

And I love that Newsboys song, too
