Update on the owls

Thanks to the magic of the Internet, I've figured out that what I was hearing last night--and continued to hear waaaay late, although I think they left for a while and came back--was a pair of great horned owls. As in a male and a female.
Wonder if there'll be owlets in the neighborhood this spring! :D

Date: 2011-10-14 06:59 pm (UTC)Annnd in other happy news, we got over 5" of rain last weekend, almost all of which soaked right in, and things are finally starting to look a wee bit GREEN! Most of the dead grass washed away from my front yard, but there are ground cover plants starting to sprout, so I'm hopeful that there'll be more greenness to come. :)
