The sad thing is that he probably does--I don't remember the title of the book, but it was something in New Testament studies, and in German to boot. And German academic prose is nothing if not tedious. :D

Ouch. You have my sympathies. ;) German prose is tedious to begin with, but New Testament prose... I guess it could be worse. It could be Old Testament prose, lol.

I'm wrong, it isn't in German; it's the Abingdon New Testament Commentary on 1 Peter. Still. :D
