ramblin_rosieDerwent Inktense watercolor pencils are spiffy. Think I'm going to want some actual practice with them before I use them on anything, and I probably won't use them for every calligraphy piece; but they look nice, and they should give me better control in putting the color where I want it (and keeping it there) as well as more confidence in mixing colors than I've had with paints lately.
In other news: Aside from co-authored pieces, I'm probably going to need to focus on original fic after New Year's. So I'm working on finishing "Five Times Azazel's Plan Couldn't Work" now and trying to get unstuck (again) on "Stole Soul Picnic" so I can finish at least this chapter that's in progress. Muses being the fickle things that they are, I don't want to state categorically that I won't be writing fic at all until the original stuff is done, and I do have a Big Bang that will be going up in March. I just thought I should let y'all know to... expect fic when you see it.
