Jul. 3rd, 2019 05:49 pmSo Chappy's taking a nap, right, and both dogs were napping, too. So you can imagine my surprise a few minutes ago when I heard the sort of clatter-scratch-bang from the storm door that normally means one of the dogs is jumping against it, asking to be let in or out. Then it happened again, so I went to go see.
It wasn't either of the dogs.
It was a ROADRUNNER jumping against the door!
I resisted the urge to let it in, and it ran off--but just after I started this post, it came back and jumped against the door again! That woke the dogs, and it ran off again; I didn't let them out to chase it.
I don't know if it was trying to perch on the cross-piece between panes (that's about where its feet were hitting) or if it was trying to get in, but either way... LOL!
