Ten-year LJ-versary!

Ten years ago today I set up this journal partly to keep in touch with fandom friends but mainly to have a place to post about the trip I was about to take to the C. S. Lewis Foundation's Oxbridge 2005 conference. Been a lot of good times and a lot of bad times since then. I've made some friends, lost some friends, stuck my toe in several new fandoms and found a place in a couple. And I've had my share of LJ-related headaches over the years.
And I'm still here.
Not as active as I once was, granted. I don't have an awful lot to post about lately--RL's busy, fandom's not so much. But I still read LJ frequently, even when I don't respond.
And those of you still on my f-list, old friends and new... I'm grateful for every one of you. Not just because you read what I write and put up with my blathering when the journal lives up to its name, but because you *listen*. I've found prayer partners and givers of wise advice, anchors of sanity and chances to laugh when I needed them most, as well as friends who will rejoice with me in the good times. And it goes both ways; I've enjoyed getting to know you and share what's been going on in your lives, too. And the few I've had the privilege to meet in person have been just as lovely as you seem on the screen.
Wish I had a mathom or something to post, but I don't. So I'll just say this:
May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future.
Here's to ten more years. *touches tea mug to monitor*
