Hooray for the flag, hold it high....

I'd been feeling run down today--not just physically, but emotionally wrung out from all the absolute insanity that's happening in Washington and Austin and abroad--and not much like celebrating. But then my parents and I went to see the fireworks... and there's just something cheering about watching fireworks and listening to "Stars and Stripes Forever."
I love my country. I always have, and I suspect I always will.
