End of an era. I knew she'd been in ill health for a long time, but still... kind of a shock. She was a great lady.

ETA: Also, it's Yom HaShoah. If I remember the family stories correctly, one of my great-uncles helped liberate Dachau--and wouldn't talk about it unless he was well and truly drunk. The horror was real. Never Again.
