It's Monday...
Jul. 9th, 2012 01:05 pm... and I feel like posting something a bit cheerier than my last few entries, *so*... time for a fic roundup!
Windowpain, in which Dean hates his glasses
The Life You Save Part 2, continuing the saga of lupie!Dean
The Scrambled Egghead, in which Dean gets crosswise with the MOTW and John and Sam have to decipher his half-sentences
Harrowed, in which Dean's time in Hell has a very different result
Invincible, in which Dean is a Lady Bears fan but gets more than he bargained for when they reach the playoffs
Last of the Breed, a fusion with The Shootist for
spn_cinema
Your Planet Is Weird, a Tok'ra Apocalypse timestamp
A Cage Full of Heroes, a Crossed Swords-verse SPN/Hogan's Heroes crossover
And another tale that grew in the telling, As You Wish--SPN/Chronicles of Narnia, co-written with
jennytork
And then there's Idjits!verse, started by
lolaann1 here and continued by yours truly here. There's also a prequel by
mamapranayama here. Definite drink warning.
ETA: Almost forgot my one contribution to the
spn_bigpretzel Outsider POV comment-fic meme: Kindred Spirits, in which Hannibal Smith and the rest of the A-Team get some... special help in their two biggest escapes before going underground.
Whoof. And Big Bang season isn't even over yet. :D
BTW, I'm leaning more toward going ahead and paying for Bravehost (though I do thank
lindahoyland for her suggestion). If both LJ and FF.n end up tanking, and given that MPTT is LOTR/Silm only, I think I'll feel safer having my own site as a failsafe, which makes it worth the money (IMO).
Also, on a semi-related fannish note: seeing new pictures for The Hobbit has me wondering what Howard Shore has done with that song ("O where are you going"). Rankin-Bass notwithstanding, I've always mentally set it to an approximation of "The Irish Washerwoman." Anybody have any speculations?
