We shall not cease from exploration,
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
--T. S. Eliot, "Little Gidding," Four Quartets
Up could (possibly) use a better title, but it's a gooood movie. It is strongly character-driven, and one may need a predisposition to like certain types of characters *coughMcKaycough* to appreciate this particular plot. And it is as bittersweet as you might expect a "coming-of-old-age story" to be, so it might not be something young children would enjoy. But I definitely recommend it--lots of laugh-out-loud moments, a redemptive happy ending, and characters with a depth that makes them more lovable than they might seem at first.
Moving tomorrow. Supposed to get 'Net hooked up right away, but we'll see. Be back when I can.
