Bits and bobs
May. 26th, 2009 01:31 am- I haz a defense date! And a time, too! Now I just need my extra readers and my revisions (director's comments are finally coming in, yay) and I'll be set. :)
- Goo Gone and Easy Off are wonderful inventions. Goo Gone just got a piece of gum or tar or something out of my carpet--and whatever it was, it had been there about five years. But the "drip-free spray gel" still drips, just not as badly as the original.
- Saturday I found a long crack in one of my bedroom walls (as in, it's a foot or less shy of running the whole length of the wall). Today the glass plate in the bottom of my microwave shattered as I was making popcorn. As Chappy and I said to each other at about the same time, it really must be time for me to move....
- My Memorial Day fic will be late. :( I think all the bustle of packing and cleaning is catching up with me. But at least things are coming together on many fronts.
- The Secret Life of Machines -- Watch. Laugh at the cheesy animation and the sometimes-awkward presentation. Learn a lot anyway.
