Ah, the times you wish you had a camera...

Mum and I were at a Sonic drive-through yesterday when we suddenly noticed that perched on a large picture of a slush was one very real and very thirsty butterfly. :D
A bit later, walking through a parking lot, we passed a truck with a golden retriever in the back looking through the back window at his family, grinning and wagging his tail. I'm not sure if the window was already open or not, but it was definitely open as we walked past because the dog suddenly started climbing through the window into the cab!

Had a lovely weekend with Mum--busy (we mostly worked on packing), but still good. Should be able to finish drafting my dissertation this week, and then I wait for revisions and try to nail down the defense date and my extra readers. :) Have not been to see Star Trek yet, but I don't mind reading spoilery posts on the f-list... forewarned is forearmed, y'know, and I'm mainly just curious to see Karl Urban as Bones. (Besides, I've just watched Mission: Impossible Season 4 twice through, so I should really take a break from Leonard Nimoy shows for a while. :D)
The plotbunnies are happily munching carrots, though, so as soon as I have the time, there should be some fic forthcoming.
