*sigh*

For the first time in a couple of years, I'm making an entire pot of tea for my own consumption.
I'm not sure if it's allergies or one of those stupid strep-like viruses or what. I know I've been fighting allergies for several weeks. But last night my throat started feeling really raw, and it looked quite red and somewhat swollen (but the only blisters were right above my tonsils). Wasn't any better this morning. Got home from work and WHAMMO! started feeling feverish, dizzy, and much more swollen in the throat. Took Benadryl, meclizine, Advil, and a nap, with a Breathe Right strip and Mentholatum applied for good measure. Woke up five hours later with a fever and swelling all over, especially in my throat--as in, I could hardly see the back because the soft palate was so low.
So I've taken another Benadryl and Singulair and Aleve, and when one mug of tea didn't suffice, I decided to brew up a whole pot.

Not sure what I'm having for supper. Might just eat some biscuits. Think I'll start thawing stew meat for tomorrow, though.
Thank the Lord Da Boss forwarded me a couple of manuscripts this afternoon. I can work from home tomorrow if I have to. May or may not go to the quack shack; depends on what my symptoms are in the morning.

Ugh.

For the sake of clarification: My normal is 97.8, and I start feeling feverish around 98.4. By 98.8, I'm really feeling crummy.
My temp this evening has fluctuated between 98.8 and 99.2. I don't remember the last time my temp got that high, aside from me overheating because of being in one spot on the couch for too long. And while the swelling in my hands has gone away, my throat's only marginally better.
Definitely calling the quack shack in the morning. (Tried to leave a message tonight, but the answering service wouldn't let me. :P)
