Prayer request update
Jan. 20th, 2006 06:35 pmMikey's fighting pneumonia, but the doctors are still slowly reducing his sedation. He's spontaneously opened his eyes several times now, and today a nurse asked him to give her a thumbs up, and HE DID!
He still has a long way to go, of course, but he's fighting hard, and his friends and family are cheering him on every second.

EDIT: G said that M's nephew has gained nearly two more pounds and has learned to nurse well, but the effort of nursing plumb tuckers the little guy out. And he's slowly being weened off the oxygen. At this rate, it looks like he'll be going back to NY in mid-February, assuming the family can find the funding to transport him.
