Does anybody happen to have a subscription to Ancestry.com (or Ancestry.co.uk)? I'm hunting for some niggling plot details and don't want to have to pay for a subscription just to access one or two records. :P If you can help, leave a comment and I'll PM you my question.
Also, if you've a mind to:
boz4pm has set up The Tolkien (Sort Of and Not Only) Friending Meme.
And finally, one for the "nothing new under the sun" files: Five Books on Consideration: Advice to a Pope (more frequently known simply as On Consideration), a five-part book Bernard wrote to one of his monks who became Pope Eugene III. The first four parts cover such timely topics as tort reform and corruption in high places (replace "Curia" with "Cabinet" and see what happens!), and the fifth is an amazing exercise in contemplating God. Highly recommended reading.
