I've got it.
I've figured out how to sum up my problem with SPN Season 9 in three words.

By rights we shouldn't even be here.
(Leaving aside the fact that Dean has always been Samwise, and I would have expected his plain hobbit sense to have asserted itself against theRing Mark by now....)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there had better be some EPIC payoff coming next week for this season to have been worthwhile.
