BWAHA.
The Ace of Spades verdict on Fifty Shades of Grey, based only on the free Kindle sample: It's just flat bad writing. I'm not touching the series with a bargepole, but I've heard the same from people who have read it.
(He does misuse "slash," but I'll give him a pass on that, since it's a Smart Military Blog and not a fansite.)
