Was going to take the test, but since it warned against taking it if you never read it, I didn't. Took a "What director will film your life story" instead.

It's a pretty heavy book, and the test was hard unless you've got it almost memorized. So you're better off not having taken it.

It's for The Silmarillion, which is the history of Tolkien's world from its creation to the events of LOTR. Things that happened before the Sun and Moon were made, who Gandalf really is, where Ents and Dwarves come from, how Beren met Luthien and with her changed the world, why Galadriel has to refuse the One Ring before she can go West, who Earendil was before he became a star, why Aragorn is rightfully king of both Gondor and the northern part of Middle-earth where the Shire is... all that sort of backstory. Very cool reading if you're into that kind of thing, but very dense and historical and mostly tragic, and almost no hobbits.
